Rules
The game is scored out of 400 points, spread over the four NFL playoff rounds. You receive an entry form, make some simple predictions, and then cross your fingers. If you’re good, you will do as well as those who are lucky, continuing sports’s most enduring rivalry. Please note the entry deadlines enforced for each round.
Points
Wild Card Playoffs (six games)
Object: Predict the six game winners and the margins of victory
7 points for each correct winner, (max 42, min 0)
7 points for picking the margin of victory correctly, less one point for each point incorrect (max 42, min 0)
8 bonus points for getting most winners correct (max 8)
8 bonus points for getting most victory margins correct within three points (max 8)
Divisional Playoffs (four games)
Object: Predict the four game winners and the margins of victory
10 points for each correct winner, (max 40, min 0)
10 points for picking the margin of victory correctly, less one point for each point incorrect (max 40, min 0)
10 bonus points for getting most winners correct (max 10)
10 bonus points for getting most victory margins correct within three points (max 10)
Conference Championships (100 points)
Object: Predict the two conference champions and the margins of victory
20 points for each correct winner, (max 40, min 0)
20 points for picking the margin of victory correctly, less two points for each point incorrect (max 40, min 0)
10 bonus points for getting most winners correct (max 10)
10 bonus points for getting most victory margins correct within three points (max 10)
Super Bowl (100 points)
Object: Predict the Super Bowl champion and the margin of victory
50 points for each correct winner, (max 50, min 0)
50 points for picking the margin of victory correctly, less five points for each point incorrect (max 50, min 0)
Tiebreaker
If players are tied at the end of the game on points, the tie will be broken based on the following:
1) Most points in the Super Bowl round
2) Most points in the Conference Championships round
3) Most points in the Divisional Playoffs round
Clarifications:
- The margin of victory bonus applies to games where the player has picked the winning team correctly
- A margin of victory cannot be entered as a zero.
