The first week of the Round of 16 Return Legs had lots to offer, from Cinderalla Cypriots APOEL continuing their fairy tale run, a show of utter dominance by Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona, a comeback by Benfica Lisbon and a frantic Arsenal just coming up short. One can only hope next week’s games offer as much.
Doug continues to hang on to his lead with John and Michael coming up strong behind. Michael was the only player to predict an exactly correct score in a tie that’s been completed thanks to three first-half Arsenal goals on Tuesday. Two players predicted Leverkusen to score two goals, but unfortunately for them, Barcelona scored 10 goals in between.
Nobody had APOEL picked to beat Olympique Lyon but I doubt there is one person in Nicosia who cares.
