32 teams have qualified for the world’s most important club football competition, the UEFA Champions League, and you’re invited to play along!

Like all Prediction Challenge games, it costs $10 to play, and entries must be submitted before each phase of the competition.
The first Group Phase begins September 13 and runs until December 7. Each team plays each other twice during this phase, and the top two teams in each of the eight groups qualify for the knockout rounds.
Your mission: to predict the finishing order of each of the eight groups. Points will be awarded based on how close players come to having the each group order correct, as well as bonus points for having the most groups exactly right and for having the most qualifiers for the knockout stages picked as finishing 1st or 2nd in their group.
It really is easier than it sounds. Just go to the entry form, make a prediction for each group using the pull-down menus, and submit your entry! The teams are listed in order of their 5-year UEFA coefficient, that is, how well they’ve performed in European international play over the last five seasons.
The later competition rounds take place beginning in February 2012, when players will need to predict the winners of home-and-away knockout playoff rounds. The Champions League Final takes place in Munich, Germany on May 19.
