The Czech Republic jumped to an early 4-0 lead, but then had to fight off a furious rally by Slovakia in order to celebrate a quarterfinal berth against Team USA.
Tom continues to hold the lead while John Eastaugh was the big mover in a round where nobody had all four advancing teams correct, thanks to Latvia’s upset of Switzerland.
John was the only player to have a score correct with Slovenia’s 4-0 shutout of Austria; John, Tom and Wes each claimed the bonus for having three winners correct.
