The Houston Astros defeated the Boston Red Sox 5-0 in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on Friday to advance to the World Series for the first time since 2019. Houston was propelled by starter Luis Garcia, who gave up just one hit over 5 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts. Yordan Alvarez took home ALCS MVP honors with 12 hits in six games, including a 4-for-4 performance in Game 6.
