How it works
The game is scored out of 700 points (100 points per round). You receive an entry form, make some simple predictions, and then cross your fingers. One entry per person, and no limit to number of players!
How to play
Predictions are submitted prior to each round. Updates are posted during the tournament on the Prediction Challenges! web site
Each round of the tournament is equally important to win this contest, adding to the drama…there are 100 points up for grabs in each of the seven rounds.
Scoring
Women’s Quarter-Final Round (100 points)
Object: Predict the four game winners and the scores
Note: If the game is tied after regulation, the final score is considered to be a 1-goal victory regardless of whether the goal is scored in overtime or a shootout.
10 points for each correct winner (max 40)
10 points for each correct score, less 2 points for each goal incorrect (max 40, min 0)
10 bonus points for getting most winners correct (max 10)
10 bonus points for getting most scores correct (max 10)
Women’s Semifinal Round (100 points)
Object: Predict the two game winners and the scores
Note: If the game is tied after regulation, the final score is considered to be a 1-goal victory regardless of whether the goal is scored in overtime or a shootout.
20 points for each correct winner (max 40)
20 points for each correct score, less 4 points for each goal incorrect (max 40)
10 bonus points for getting most winners correct (max 10)
10 bonus points for getting most scores correct (max 10)
Men’s Playoff Round (100 points)
Object: Predict the four game winners and the scores

50 points for getting the winner right
50 points for predicting the score correctly, less 10 points for each incorrect goal. (max 50, min 0)
Men’s Semi-Final Round (100 points)

Tiebreakers
If players are tied in points at the end of the game, the following tie-breakers will be applied, in order:
- Most points in Men’s Gold Medal Game
- Most points in Men’s Bronze Medal Game (Tiebreaker)
- Most points in Men’s Semifinal Round
- Most points in Women’s Gold Medal Game
- Most points in Women’s Bronze Medal Game (Tiebreaker)
- Most points in Men’s Quarterfinal Round
- Most points in Men’s Playoff Round
- Most points in Women’s Semifinal Round
