A crazy end to the Group Stage has resulted in nobody being able to predict any more than eleven of the 16 teams to advance to the Round of 16. Congratulations to Doug and John for leading the way!
Doug was the only player to pick the correct finishing order of three groups, with the key being his choice of Viktoria Plzen to finish ahead of BATE Borisov. I think we all know what his favourite style of beer now is!
Something I wonder about is what Steffen thinks of FC Basel reaching the next round… Steffen lives in Basel and was the only player to pick them to finish last in Group D! I wonder if he was at the game, and if he was cheering for them?
The draw for the Round of 16 takes place on December 16; the Round of 16 will be played from the 14th-22nd of February.
