UEFA European Championship Rules

UEFA European Championship:  An Introduction

The UEFA European Championship is the final round of a competition held every four years. The competition is open to each Union of European Football Association member nations, and nearly two years of playoffs brings the field down to 16 teams.

Tournament Format, and how we play the Prediction game
There are six groups of four teams each, with the top two teams qualifying for single-game knockout play. Each team plays each other once in the group stage, for a total of three games. Your job, in the group stage, is to pick the finishing order of each group as well as the four wild card teams to advance. Your score will be based on how close you are to predicting the correct order and also whether you chose the correct two to qualify for the next round.

In subsequent rounds, your task will be to pick the winning team and the number of goals that will be scored by both teams in each matchup.
