Charles Leclerc came agonisingly close to becoming an F1 race-winner in Bahrain – and he was denied that honour again at the Austrian Grand Prix after being overtaken two laps from the end by a brilliant Max Verstappen, who closed out his second win in two years at the Red Bull Ring.

Top drives of the day: Max Verstappen (31) came alive in the second half of the race to edge out pole-sitter Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel (30) finishing 4th after qualification problems on Saturday, and Carlos Sainz, Jr. (29) finishing well in the points after starting in the pit lane.

Defending champion Michael returns to earn top marks for the first time since the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix, gaining best points in eight of the ten scoring rows. Michael still sits outside the prize spots, with Ian moving past Evan into first place, and Danielle maintaining her hold of third.
